History
Cavas founded in 1897 at Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, location
based in "Alt Penedés" region, world wide known
for his wines and cradle of the D.O. Cava. Cellar based
at the historic town centre that has remained during more than
one century. It was the Oliver family, one of the most stablished
families of the region, that started up in the interesting world
of wine, called "CAVAS CALIXTUS". With their excellent
and famous products, during the sixties they consolidate as one
of the firms most valued and large tradition in the sector. At
the end of 1.987, a group of businessmen acquires the cellar's entitlement
from their last owners, and with their experience manages the
company with the new name called Robert J. Mur. From 1.988
onwards they start a new ambicious project, to place Robert
J. Mur into one of the Cavas most apreciated of the sector::

Our cellars have one of the most modern plants in the world.
Comercial wise we have developed our activity in the national
market, strengthening the brand Robert J. Mur, with massive
appearance in the catering business. The presentation and unique
design of all our products is recognised all around the world.
These recent years our firm has joined the producers of the
Wines D.O. Penedés ofering a wide range of White,
rosé and red wines, from young to mature wines. Actually
we are represented in different specialized sectors: Traditional
trade, cellars, hotels, catering, small chains of supermarkets
and wine stores.
Robert J. Mur is consolidating in several countries: England,
Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, USA, Central
America and some countries from Latino America. We are constantly
studying to expand our range of producs Wines and Cavas.
